His dad (my brother) has called him that since he was a little booger. Don’t think it had anything to do with Volkswagens.

I can't believe I missed this thread for a year. I still have my high school hot rod waiting to be restored to it's former glory.

Gee whiz..... thinking the full on race car route would have been easier not having to deal with this kind of stuff.... but it’ll be worth it in the end.

That’s a temporary temp gauge... the capillary tube broke on my vintage SW temp gauge so I threw a temporary gauge on the engine to monitor the temp until I can get another SW.

What kind of paint did you use on your headers? I LOVE the way white looks on headers, but I'm not a real fan of having to paint them once a month.

I took a chance and had a local ceramic coater coat them white ceramic. It’s a new product and a little bit of a gamble but it’s got to last longer than paint which I have never had any luck with.

Oh Hell. I hope it works for you better than it did for a couple of my buddies. Their white ceramic headers turned yellow!

Please keep us posted on the color of your headers. I really don't know how ceramic could turn colors, but they did.
