Around ten years ago, a guy I worked with asked me if I wanted some old pictures he had or he was going to throw them away. Turns out when he was a kid in high school he was the track photographer at Cornhusker Raceway Park in Omaha. So when he was cleaning out his folks place he came across them again but had lost interest a long time ago. I said no way you're going to throw this history away and have had them ever since. Just got them scanned. Anybody here remember The Cornhusker Raceway Park. The track is still there but it is a service road in an industrial park.
I see a couple of Minnesota cars there. The GSTA twin-Hemi dragster and Schifsky's Funny Car. Anybody from that area remember a guy named Bob "Big Shoe" Shukert ? He had a Funny Car in '68 that, as I remember, was a former Doug's Headers Corvair. I sat in the thing and got claustrophobic.

I can't figure out how anybody can ever "just lose interest". Thanx Hat Man glad you havent lost any interest.
