Old custom 59 el camino, craigslist. Any info????

Saw this on craigslist. Came to Texas from Los Angeles. Anybody have any info on it?

That thing is wicked cool! I'd be jumping all over that thing. How many similar ones are you going to see parked at the same show? Zero.

 

I was hunting for info on who may have built it. I am a broke sucker, would love to buy it.

lol nothing new under the sun... I put a 4 door hardtop rear window/roof on my 60 elcamino 6 years back... thought I was being original-haha

this car looks neat, of course there are the prerequisite crappy craigslist photos, I want to see more.

 

If those are the factory optional bucket seats, then that's a heck of a good deal for that car. Those seats go for thousands. You could swing a deal for the truck, sell those seats, swap in some (very similar looking) Corvair buckets, and be into that truck cheap. It's even got a 348 in it. That price doesn't seem bad to me at all. It's probably real solid too.

I think the glass proportions are a little weird.

The proportions are crazy. Looks like if you turned your head you would be staring at the post.

 

I've always wondered what a 4dr hdtp would look like converted to an El Camino.

I don't think it looks to bad.

 

I love it, but it would be bitch to get in and out of.
