It may seem crazy to some, but for us it's old hat. When it comes to Bonneville, everything comes together the last few weeks before we leave ... Here is what the tank looks like now,...

Just an empty belly, haha, waiting to be fed. She's getting a much needed 5 year tear down and spruce up. The motor has been in the capable hands of Max Jr over at H & H antique flatheads. He too, like us, has to work hard all year to pay the bills, but then takes off for a couple weeks to concentrate on building the race motor, which, might I add, gets a full rebuild every year. Usually because we improve it every year, (funds allowing if course). This year, were finally running 5 mains on the bottom end....Can you believe we've gone as fast as 168 mph in a 3 main block?
Probably pushing our luck, but we did it. A true testament to Henry's banger. And cranks.
Here's the Bottom girdle getting a clearance job for the rods..

3 weeks til we leave for Bonneville and we still gotta work out the dry sump set up, but hey!, that's what we live for right?

Motor goes in tomorrow, so wish us luck :). But with an ace team of Max, Logan, Chuck and Del, and of course myself, we always manage to pull it off. Even thought Logan and Chuck are both running vehicles of their own this year.

Come say hi if your walkin around the pits !!

Hurry back safe. Are those additional mains oven brazed? Who did them? I am assuming a billet crank to go along. Who did that?

    Be well, go fast.

    Mike.
