That's more of the "breadloaf" style trailer so more then likely pre war war II for sure. I have a book here that lists 100s of vintage trailer manufactures and I don't see any that resemble it with that trunk on the back. Might be home built or maybe a company that just built a few. I'm curious about the construction. Are the walls aluminum with an exterior steel framework? Very unusual.
The shop next door to me is a vintage trailer restoration shop, more I'm around them the more Im getting into them!

Check out the wheels. They look like mid 30's Ford style.

  8. Correct, the small widow is for the very small closet shower & toilet inside the camper, there never was a outside shower head. HRP

How about 3 old campers? I spent a lot of hours in the one on the left. T1_028.jpg

Hello all, just a note. The March issue of Hemmings Classic Car has a great article on vintage campers. Cheers!

This is my Airstream. If you want one of these, best advice I can give you is drive around and look. I found this in Green Acres Az just north of Tucson.

We just got this ‘63 Globe Trotter. It’s pretty rough, but you’ve got to start somewhere....

Been getting our 67 Parkway camper ready for another road trip.
Will eventually go onto our 77 C20. But it’s not ready yet.

Those caddy campers are way cool ! There was one in a local junk yard years ago, but too far gone with rotten wood. I forget, who made them ?

  20. I've been making some progress on the rebuild of our 1962 Terry 16' cab-over. Like many trailers, the more I dug into it, the more rot I found requiring a full rebuild. Pretty much all we'll be able to retain is the metal frame and most of the original sheet metal. Here's a little bit of the work so far. Sorry for the photo overload!

It's always nice to have a neighbor with a tractor, especially for the kids!

  22. I wish it was mine! That's actually my neighbors Kubota. He's the one driving it with my son in the photo. It's perfect for moving the trailer around.

Here is the 1970 airstream I've been working on for a few years now. It's definitely been a labor of love.
