Damn, I "think" there was one for sale on my way to work late last year, but can't swear it was a Little Dipper. It DID look a lot like the images that come up for a "Little Dipper Camper" Google image search, it had that little scalloped cutout across the back and the "V" design. He's working on another one now, I'll look a little closer and see if I can tell what it is. Why out west?

Less rust and rot, I'm hoping. I believe they were made out there, anyway, and also guessing not too many made it east of the big muddy.

Here is an old Parkway truck camper that was recently given to me by a family dealing with an estate. It’s really solid, they just wanted it to go away.
My wife loves this old camper too!

  9. HermanMunster you have monsterous good taste in both your projects!
Rusty Valley you may not remember that back in the day those "tits" were referred to as Dagmars. To see why, just Google Dagmar. That gal could really fill out a sweater.

Helped my brother haul these 2 in he picked up at a farm auction we went to, luckily bidding against scrappers.. Both rare, a 52 Platte "Trav-L-Home" and a 52 Nassua. He plans on a full resto on the Nassua but flipping the Platte as is. Someone needs this Platte, it has some cool features like full leanth stainless trim and neat windows. Late to the party. This is my 1955 Wally Byam Holiday, built by Airstream as a prototype, never put into production. Has a toilet which was really rare for a 1950s camper. Screen Shot 2020-08-13 at 4.53.18 PM.jpg

  24. Pretty sure the outdoor shower was something added when this ‘62 Shasta Airflyte was “resto-modded” ... i.e., never an option in 1962.

i would have thought so too, except the little door for the shower head and controls looks pretty official.

  26. The illustration in this 1962 Shasta Airflyte Ad depicts that “little door” as a louvered window:

that little window is the original bathroom window. Outdoor shower no dought been added. My brother has had many Shastas come thru for restoration, never seen an optional outdoor shower.
