    @lowbudget did quite an 'abbreviation'.
    Those radiator 'stay rods' were longer than a story....
    If the wheelbase can be adjusted, and the door gunwales trimmed down 3", upholstery can be rolled over the sides, giving a much improved profile.

    That may ruin what's going on here with this car.
    It has a 1940s vibe. A 1940s build updated in the lates 50s?....A car built later with those 1940s methods or maybe a better way to put it.....What was seen in the 1940s.

    It may be by complete accident but in the opening of that great movie " The Best Years of Our Lives" 1946, A very similar car is seen cruising by the taxi cab that brought the soldiers and sailor home.
