Found this on the Ford Barn a couple of years ago. Plan is to chop, channel and add a 49 flathead.
Sent from my iPhone using H.A.M.B.
That one is really complete. Have you thought of trying to get it to run prior to taking apart?? You don't see them that complete very often.
Looks like a hell of a good start.
Great start. Restorers on Ford Barn reading this will be pissed they didn't buy it. They had the chance.
Looking forward to this. Doing a similar build.
Found this 49 ford motor also on the Ford Barn it came a Weiand manifold and two Stromberg 97 carbs.
Been cleaning up the motor and it looks real good so far. Motor is now at Flatjack in Oshkosh,Wi for total rebuild. A 72 ford mustang 3 speed bolts right up to the stock bellhousing .
Check out the day my Bessy was born.
Kind of spooky.
Got myself a Midwest Fabrication bare frame and My brother and I set it up for the flathead and a 9 inch rear end with coil overs. Sorry all the pictures are in a camera and if I can figure how to get them out I will post. Frame has a 4 inch sweep and 10 inch z.
I inch sq. Tube floor frame is in and starting to figure out the floor panels. Lots of cardboard and tape.
Sweet ride once it's done I bet.
Started working on the floor. Most of the floor will be bolted in for easy assembly.
More paper paper patterns for the firewall portion of the floor.
Started on floor.
Lots of cutting sanding and fitting the floor
is all coming together pretty nice.
Finished the brake and clutch set up with lots of help from my brother.
master cylinder brkt.
Nice fabrication, your project is coming right along.
Thank you very much all ways nice to hear good things.
Great job, looks great.
Made some support tubes out of 1x1 x 1/16 Tube and mounted the gas tank.
Started to cover up everything with sheet metal. Want all sheets to be removable so will be drill8ng lots of holes and adding stainless button heads.
Its always interested and refreshing observing the build take shape with ones trade or profession wrapped into it all. That has an aviation look happening...great info and visual on your build...thanks @chop job
Very Quality Work you are doing.. Those fasteners are they rivets? Thanks For posting.
Those in the picture are Cleco fasteners which will be replaced with button head bolts.
Thank you guys your comments mean a lot to me.
Been working on more of the floor. Lots of rivets.
More to come.
