My wife and I are from OK. People are great there, will always say 'Hi', and always willing to lend a hand. Except for a very few - the best word of advice that I can give anyone living in Oklahoma City area is to stay away from Rotten Ronnie...

Does this count? I can walk out my front door and if I could skip a rock hard enough across the lake it would hit Oklahoma.

  8. Just say the word, Sam! None of my HAMB-friendly stuff is up right at the moment, but I'll bring the Coronet!

Hey Sam yes its me little Bondo or "Spot Putty" as the old Thriftway guys used to call me. I just got back on here to look at this old thread and saw that you responded. I did not know Trammel was on here to. I saw your car at Ardmore but never saw you. My buddy 60 GASSER went to Noble to your race and said it was great.

Here's another Okie chiming in late.
I have been to the halftime bar a few times myself.
More Okie's here than I expected.

  12. Lived in Sapulpa one summer, and I have my next project at a friends up there, and I am heading up to Henrietta this weekend. Does that count for anything?

  14. Welcome to the scene. I think Sherman and Denton may qualify as Baja Oklahoma.....as long as we are playing cars and not footsball.

If you live on the south side of the lake it doesn't count. I can't skip a rock to Oklahoma. I live two blocks from MG's in Sherman.

Another one chiming in late. Missed this thread first time around. Been to the Stray Cay 500 last two years. Great little show, getting bigger every year. Will be there for the next one. Hope it doesn't rain.

Originally from a little town called Wagoner, been 30+ years since I've been there, heard it hasn't changed much. Once an Okie always an Okie!

  20. Merry Christmas to all,

Jim, when I get back from El Paso, after the first of the year, I'll come see your rusted cars and maybe show you mine. Randy

  26. Former Okie here. Lived in Edmond/Guthrie for about 7 years. I still consider it 'home'. Came up to MI in '96. 'guthriesmith' is my brother, and I'm friends with 'Oldskoolbelair' & 'oldguard'. What's up guys? Wish I were there. Merry Christmas from the great white north!
