Technical Ok Moriarity and Stogy are right ! This is what I’m gonna do …

  1. Going fast isn’t the goal for me. Probably why I like the tail dragger look.
    Low and slow.
If you can get somewhere in 2 hours, I’ll beat that by at least one hour. I can do it in 3.

Gee Anthony, you sound more like a grandma than a hot rodder:eek:;)

  3. I’m a customizer.
Hot rodding is a form of customizing.

but your grandmother probably passed me cruising, but I guarantee she looked:)

Since it seems both stances and all in between were present at times in the Custom period from 1934 to 1965. I'll keep an open mind to stance overall but Vans choice is a hell of a rapid transition to a period correct look 4 door or not...

To me neither look slow...neither are packing sandbags, tools or broken springs and at 70 mph on the Highway you'll be cruising anything but slow and depending what's stuffed under the hood maybe it may raise some eyebrows...don't forget Customs did Dry Lakes duty and even the Strip...then went and got the girls...;)

this is me , I love speed . But I’m not a speed demon .

cars got a 302 with 325 hp so it can easily keep up and pass and drive on the hwy. I just won’t be drag racing with it :D

  7. The stance question is pretty easy customs are supposed to flow. Not too many things flow uphill and not too many people start at the back of a car when they are looking at it. That and a bunch of guys coming back from WWII saw a lot of this.

Level or slightly lower in back for a fat fender custom. Level or slightly lower in front for a fat fender hot rod. Motorboat or gasser style with a high front end and rear end dragging on a custom look the same as those kids with OT 4x4 trucks squatting in the rear-- like a dog taking a shit!

No, I'm don't hate customs, I just prefer them to be subtle and make you think, what did they do to it to make it look so smooth.

  9. I'm a fan of spotlights. I know some don't like them. May I suggest Appleton 112-C's Perfect size and they have to be functional. This car needs them to break up all that mass from front to back. I would use Lincoln pushbutton door openers too.

With the nose down. That`s what happens when braking: a stopped car. With the nose up, it`s accelerating and gaining speed.: In motion. Scan0749.jpg IMG_20200923_0001.jpg

Looks real smooth…40’s Kustom, ass dragging smooth. Sorry but the 57 wheel covers look WAY too busy/modern to me. Needs smooth wheel covers to match the 40’s vibe of the car.
