Folks Of Interest Ok, I'm back.....

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Crazy Steve, May 2, 2020.

  1. I've been absent (has it really been a year??) after a fit of pique at one of the moderators. I got over that but that isn't the whole story; life intruded in multiple ways (health issues/moving my elderly sister, a giant pissing match with my idiot last ex, and two, count 'em, two computer crashes, one of which wiped out virtually everything. Still haven't got that back up to speed yet. Note to users of solid-state hard drives; when they go bad, they go all the way bad...

But I not here to recount my tale of woe (given current events, it's now mostly small potatoes) but to try to return to regular posting. I do ask that you don't inundate me with electrical questions, I do still have too much crap on my plate but I'm making headway in getting rid of it. If you PM me and I don't answer, don't take offense please.

The bummer is with the current emergency, it looks like 'car season' here may be seriously limited if not extinct for the year. I was really looking forward to getting out and meeting friends but given how I'm in the 'most vulnerable' category (over 65 with lung issues) I'm also not going to be stupid either. I hate that damn mask....

    Anyway, stay safe out there!

  11. Unfortunately, no. But with 'car season' on hold with the virus restrictions, I'm going to go ahead with the winter stuff I didn't get done...

Welcome back. I too look forward to gleaning from your shared knowledge. Look at it this way, aside from Covid-19 you got the bad juju out and may better days ahead be yours. Always put your health first.

So Steve, I have 120 volts, but would like another 15 or so, can I just hook my battery charger into the wall plug?

And while we're at it, should I be concerned about polarity?

    If ya got the time...

    SOLUTION: plug in 9 battery chargers hooked up in series...9 X 15v = 135v:D

Glad you're back, and understand fully about all of the life's issues that can interfere. And although I respect the moderators and the necessity to have them, they can at times be a bit too arbitrary.
    Anyhow, welcome back.

I thought you were just ignoring me. I get that a lot but mostly from women. Glad to see you back.
