I've never been one for East Coast style, but lately they're growing on me. Dammit Jeff, you have way too much cool stuff! I need to quit visiting or I'll need to have you build a few more cars for me with all the ideas floating around in my head! :)

Can't wait to see these two at the GSTA show! You've always got the coolest stuff in the building for the weekend!

Yep, gotta use whats laying around!

    Cool, yep, let me know.

Got a few bits done the other day, ive never been a huge fan of welded on steering arms but have seem many that last, i had a 32 spindle that was junk so i cut off the steering arm, but i actually left part of the kingpin bushing boss on it so there is more weld distance, basisaclly 4" of welding 1" on each side and i chamfered it out and crank the hell out of the welded, i had to do very very little grinding to smooth it out also, so im pretty sure itll be ok, it still not one of my favorite things to do. so the steering is basically all set up now.

Nice work on the steering arm. I did exactly the same thing 30 odd years ago. I used a pitman arm as a steering arm and left part of the round part on so it would wrap around the kingpin boss more. I saw a photo of the car recently and it's still on there.

Keep us posted on this great piece. Saw it listed last summer and spent quite a few minutes looking at the pictures, wondering what would it take to bring the car back. Glad to see you're doing it right!! Great job, Carp

They look close be we actually unbolted them from 2 different school busses, and had a second set that were the same, they are very industrial when it comes to the metal bases and frame works and they are non folding, ive had a set of healey seats in front of me before and they had a big pivot bolt on each side if i remember correctly.

  19. I here ya on the pivot. I had a set that were the same as yours in my 36 dirt car. I bought them at Jefferson and the guy didn't know what they were off of

Well, the weekend thrash has began, i was buttoning up a ton of little stuff on it before we blasted the car apart to finish stuff up, my buddy Luke came over and we dug into it and ripped it all apart.

stay tuned for lots of progress in the next two days.

Great build.....just a suggestion, but I would put those Buick taillights inside the oval portion of the rear nerf bar.

Got lots done, welded up a million holes on the firewall, welded up lots of holes on the the frame, painted the frame and firewall, cleaned the heck out of the motor and got the clutch set up all working and correct for the lasalle trans, got the motor painted, ran all the front brake lines, redid the from brakes, mounted the new mastery cylinders, etc etc etc. also did a repair to the edmunds intake (thanks Chuck)

motor is going to go back in tomorrow morning, then start bolting things back together and making them work.

another long day was put in today, Luke was here helping huge again (he actaully stayed overnight, we were up to 2 am working on it, then got up and started back in on it at 9 am.

Got the motor reinstalled back in the car, got lots of accesories bolted back on the motor along with the gorgeous edmunds valve covers, man i love them things!

Got the clutch slave set up all working good, clutch seems to disengage.

also just got the radiator back on too.

i have to finish making plug wires, do some simple wiring, rebuild the carbs, run some fuel lines and battery cables and we should be able to fire it up.

Chad was also over working on his survivor 34 truck.

friday is GSTA, were getting there.

sorry for the lack of picks, and the problem of the pics looking like nothing changed, i get some more detail shots of the "little" details that count!

You are turning this one around nicely. Great work! Those front cycle fenders are perfect.
