You can have any car built between 1946 and 1966. Any make or model. Car will be new. You can not modify it in any way or sell it. You have to drive it occassionaly to shows, cruises or race it or what ever. What would you pick?
I'd want something fast that handles, with a roof, a American V8, and a licence plate. The Chaparral 2F and the Bizzarini 5300 GT Corsa would be on the top of my list...
55 chevie V8 convertible red/white with wide whites. id drive it with pride & when nobody was lookin id pull it in & drop real low!
1966 corvair corsa supercharged 180hp Good gas milleage handles really well comfortable all aorund a nice car.
^4 Tbolt is nice, a 56 Vette is nice the Chaparral is a dream machine but I'm going with a 63 split window since this is for shows also
Nice choice. My neighbor has a 63 galaxie lightweight that he ordered brand new and he parks it out on the street!. It's 1 of 18 sedans ordered that year. he sold the original 427 motor a few years ago for 10K.
63 Impala Z-11 '427' lightweight.. Plain, simple and fast. Second would be a '66 Impala hard top 427 4 speed..
I'm with Dirty. '65 GTO, tri-power/4 speed. Just like the one I have now, except not completely fucked.
Man..you'd shit if you saw the dart that my buddy's storing for a guy.. 68 GTS 340 4 speed, bought new by the current owner. Light blue with matching gut's, console delete, stripe delete... He used to race it back then. Still has the flat tow mounts on the front and "car in tow" on the back window.......tach drive dizzy ..class champ stickers on the windows...etc And 10,000 original miles!!!!!!!!!!! This car has been sitting in my buddy's shop for 15 years! It needs a cosmetic resto from just being old...but DAMN it's cool!!!!!!!! Sorry for the highjack....i just saw 68 Dart and it came to mind..
1966 Chevelle SS427 / 4 spd.. I bought one when I was 18 and sold it when I got married . That was 35 years and 2 wives and 1 girlfriend ago. I'm 55 and happily married ( for good this time ) but I still miss that car to this day. It was...in a word AWESOME ! Chuck Fish
