Where is the best place to put an oil temp sender on an engine? The one I have also serves as the drain plug, but It doesn't really read because it doesn't get a good enough ground. I have seen dip stick oil temp senders, but I don't like the look of wires coming off my dipstick. The only other place I can tap into the oil system is at the oil pressure sender. If I tee'd it in there, would I get an accurate reading with it being a dead end in the system? Thanks.

  2. i don't think tee-ing off from the oil pressure sender would be very accurate. i'd pull the pan and weld in a bung for a normal temp sender....or can you run a ground wire to the existing sender?
