Got the skimming all done, frame was quite pitted in places, I wasn't to precious and only did it back as far as the firewall, the rest just got several coats of epoxy primer and flatted off, next epoxy primer and topcoat

Well my replacement main leaves for my front springs arrived from jones. Springs today, only took them 3 days, good company to deal with. They had to be shortened 3'' at the front to bring the shackle inside the front panel, they also made me up a couple of extra intermediate leaves so I can fine tune the front springs

The workshop is now sheeted up ready to paint the chassis, as usual got let down by a mate so my old mate Allan has stepped forward and took a day off on Tuesday to paint it for me, thanks Allan.
funny how mates always turn up when your doing something for them !!! One for the memory bank I think

Allan came over this morning and after a couple of coats of black epoxy it was left to cure for 90 mins and then straight on with the black tinted Raptor, undoubtably not everyone will like this finish but I wanted a hard wearing practical finish and this is certainly that !!! Plus you can see very little of it once fitted

Picked up an original Hurst Lightening Rods shifter, which may confuse Sue when she drives it !!!

Good to see you back at it. Of course that means all the confidence in my work that I've been building up over the last little while gets blasted back into reality when I see your work.

    Love your stuff...

Steve--That brakeline tubing looks like cuniform ( Am I right on the name?) It is quite hard to get where I am, but we have coated line. I run all my lines with Adel clamps and Stainless buttonheads. Same as you do. Some good must be rubbing off......:D

Yes mate it's Kunifer tube, copper/nickel mix, I'm surprised you can't get it as it's available most places here. It's about £15 a 20ft roll
I could always post you some

Got the rest of the brake plumbing finished, just the line to the master cylinder to make when the body goes on.
I put the motor mount on to get it out of the way.

You should name it "The NEW BAT CAR" with that motor mount looking like it came from the "Batmobile". "To the bat cave Langy and step on it.

Hmmm. Steve, let me do some digging. Sometimes a little research turns stuff up. Thanks for correcting me on the name. Great to see you are pressing ahead. I am still not 100% but the mortgage won`t pay itself....Will be great to see the chassis as a roller. Looking forward to it!
