Projects Oh No!!! It Can't Be...Another Gasser Build? Yup, 1961 Buick Skylark

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by BloodyKnuckles, Feb 10, 2009.

  1. They are great little engines. There is alot that can be done to increase HP significantly.

    Also, I got rid of the car a while ago. Sorry.

    boobie, hey boobie... update us...

  16. Thanks alot guys for the interest.

    Just to give you guys a bit of info on whats going on, heres whats up;

    Progress stopped due to life restructureing. My lovely "wife" and I are getting married after 20 years this October. We chose to do some major renovations because we are having the wedding at the house. Well during the renovations my daily work truck's rear axle shit-the-bed. So I pulled the International truck into the shop and swapped in 4wd axles. I have a few more little things to do before it's road ready. Then I bought new front and rear axes for the daily and swapped them in. Now I have to finish the International and sell the daily. On top of all of that I have to work and continue the renovations.

    So the Skylark is just waiting for a few free days for me to get it done.

    I promise I will get back on it as soon as the wedding is done.

    Thanks again for wanting to see progress.

    So, this gonna be a hot rod wedding?

    Heather will be all smiles now and for awhile. When you come to the Village of the HAMBed next week, be sure to ask Modifieddriver (AKA Franki Four Fingers) as to why women smile so big at weddings.

    Nice to see all that clean sheet metal to work with. Haven't caught up on this whole thread. By any chance, did you decide to go with the 401? Class old motor!

  28. Next Saturday is the big day.

    The crazy thing is we are moving to a larger shop hopefully this week and I am going crazy trying to get everything done for the wedding. There needs to be 2 of me right now.

    I will be working on it again starting in November.
