I'll be there, probably with my 55 Chevy.
Are there any gas stations in Dubuque that sell racing gas? That is from a gas pump, not out of a barrel. It's kind of a pain to haul gas cans that far.

What minimum octane are you talking? Cam 2? Might help narrow the search.

Either Cam 2 or Turbo Blue would be good. A minimum of 100 octane would work. Actually anything over 93 octane would help.

When the Torque Fest was in Farley, there was a station in Dubuque that carried race gas. However, I don't remember what or where the station was.

I think the ConocoPhillips in Key West still has 108, and possibly the Big 10 on JFK. Maybe message Verno as he lives in town and should know.

I called some stations in town. There is a self-serve that sells it on Cedar Cross Rd. (2 miles or so from the fairgrounds). I can check it out more next time I am out that way.

This should be their contact information.

I called the Key West Conoco. They don't have it yet. When asked, they simply answered "soon."

Big 10 on JFK is where we used to get it. They don't offer it there anymore.

    Thank you for checking.
I remember stopping at a station in Dubuque on my way to the first Torque Fest and filling up with Turbo Blue. Just couldn't remember what the name of the station was, or where it was located.
Thanks again to everyone. This is a must attend show, so no matter what, I'll be there.

A lot. Pull body and build a new x member, run new brake and fuel lines, put new gaskets in engine, rebuild trans, rewire car. I'll keep at it and see how close I get.....

I'm late to the party. John talked me into registering for the first TorqueFest in 2010. I knew I couldn't make it but was happy to donate to the cause.

Now, looking forward to my first one this year. And thanks to justabeater37 for helping me out with reservations. HAMBer's are good people!!

    See you all there.

sorry for the delay - I had to work for Mecum in Houston all last week and did not get back home til last night around 1030pm. I am unable to post on the HAMB from my phone.
We are already stuffing the envelopes with the registration cards, wristbands, exclusive stickers, info sheet, and some promo material.
We will be going to the post office starting Thursday.
We are one day behind because my flight was SO delayed yesterday.....
Be on the lookout this weekend or Monday for the stuff to arrive in the mail.

Thanks so much for all that have pre paid- we are ahead on the amount of cars we had this time last year. At the rate we are going we are going to have 450 pre registered. That is AMAZING! Thanks so much guys - we are currently at 366. But we have not checked the post office box in about 5 days.....
Remember even if you dont have a car, but want to save $5 for the weekend pass - you have to pre register - last day to do that will be the 21st.
