I forgot to add this the other day when I bumped this thread. It's a '40 deluxe hood I just reacently did for Rod Palmer at Arizona Street Rods, with my 2 1/2" louvers in a rayed pattern indexed to the cowl lines... Hopefully in will load right side up! Edit - Damnit!

Well, this one hasn't got bumped in a bit, so here's some stuff goin' on arouind my joint. I've been down with asthma issues almost all winter ("Spring" to us down here in Phoenix... Starts the day after Christmas every year...) So my out put has been a bit limited. These are from the last couple of weeks getting caught up. Oh, and one more from last year 'cause I don't remember if I ever posted it before and it was fun as hell to lay out and do! Slightly O/T, but I dig me some Austin Healy 100/4s...

Sorry it took me a bit to get to them... I'm doing some house cleaning on my pictures. I've only done a couple in my "digital era", but I have lots of them on paper pictures which some day will get scanned and added.

My 47 Chevy Fleetmaster has a louvered hood. The main issue is that if you get caught in the rain, the entire engine gets soaked. I'm having a lot of engine work done now and was wondering if anyone knew of a kit that could be installed under the louvers to cause the water to run off or away from the engine.

Nah, Shouldn't effect too much but detail. I drove my car thousands of miles for five summers up in Washington state where it would rain for days and never ever had an issue "engine troubles" due to louvers in my hood. If you do want to preserve your detail though, head out to your closest "fast sign" kinda place and buy some strips of the magnetic flexible car sign material and stick it beneath your hood when it rains. That'll keep the water out very well. when it's not raining roll it up and put it in a bag in the trunk.

Hey! It's been a bit, but in the crappyness that was this week. I happened to turn out something for a H.A.M.B.er that I liked a bunch! This is for Dan Lanning up Washington way. Sorry Dan, I can't find you screen name right this moment....

Monday it takes that Fed-Ex ride back home!

I punched these out last week for a couple of folks one is a 17" radius louver laid out straight for a 28 Pontiac.
The other a 20" radius laid out on an angle for a 32 Ford
