It's a Ford Norb,we've got plenty of room in the crankcase because our engineers were actually mechanical engineers, not like the engineers that Chevy hired to design their stuff:

Also,Wrenchbender,is stacking a couple of Superchargers "a thing"...?
If it is,you might wanna get on building a drive setup soon, cause you're gonna need it.

    Also,
Some sad news from the Jeff Koopmeiners.During a
Conversation I had with Jeff late last night that began with me prank calling him several times,Jeff confided in me that he was going to sell the Okie Doker after this season of racing has concluded.

Jeff indicated that he wants to build a new car, still a 57,but with a little more "pizzazz"(his word,NOT mine).
Jeff sent me a couple photos of the car, which is already in progress, and one of Jeff modeling what looks to be a somewhat unorthodox driving suit.
I hope NHRA tech signs of on that for ya Buddy!

Jeff has indicated the car will no longer be known as the "Okie Doker" but will now be known as the "Fancy Dancer".

Here's a photo Jeff sent me of the as yet unlettered car,and Jeff modeling his new "driving suit" (you may have to fold those ears a few times to fit them under the helmet Buddy!:)

In the 20s Henry Ford convinced ( MORE LIKE BEGGED ) Louis to produce Chevrolet designed cylinder head
for his model T ( Fords first winning race car had a Chevy head )

The Chevrolet brothers Fonty head had two camshafts mounted on top the head, ( doubled the valve area )

A bolt on item, Fontenac heads may have been the beginning of aftermarket speed shop parts.

Ford did have a good idea with the Hot Rod Flathead though, but most guy replaced it with a s.b.c. after
    1955.

Made Ford Tuff With Chevy Stuff :p

been feverishly thrashing on these two hot rods !! and just taking power out of the coupe to make it live..
the Fiat Topolino, was the original Milodon brothers fuel altered from 1961, and has the first ever made body from A1 fiberglass. Still gathering engine parts, gonna be a simple blown small block, (zero maintenance) not gonna be as cool as a hemi though Or as big as a pain in the A$$..
The 62 chevy, was a plain white car,and we did a bunch of work to it,and We used the gift certificate that Greg Dehen won two years ago, At the MELT DOWN DRAGS from Bill Bierman @ CREATIVE CUSTOMS to letter it up,and give it character and attitude., that guy is awesome.

We were shooting for a race with Paul's fiat..

Those headers make putting headers on a sbf look easy by comparison!
Just like everything else you do,those are turning out very nice!
Looking forward to catching up and hanging out at the Meltdown!:)

the fiat belongs to Jim Peirick, my super good friend that drives our dragster.. 8.15's @ 170 ish with a carbureted chevy small block, steel heads, and we change oil once a year, if it needs it or not.. you know a zero maintenance car.

If it wasnt for the step plates spacing the bolt pattern out Scott they can be a nightmare especially for chassis headers for like a GTO.
At least now with these I won't have to worry about getting to close to my engine diaper.

The 62 chevy belongs to Greg Dehen, he drove the silver 1965 corvette at the meltdowns IMG_0732.JPG . stick shift car, scattered the posi unit all over the 1000' mark, a couple of years ago.

  25. its not the weakness of the torqueflite but the power of the mighty hemi that did that trans in.

I really liked the lettering on this dragster it was done very well. Do you know the artist?

  29. Sure... with the pushbutton shifted trans, drivers discovered they could wind the engine to the moon and then mash the "D" button just as the green bulb lit. A 'neutral drop' aka poor mans trans brake. But too many R's and it would leave a pile of guts on the starting line. I saw a copy of the letter issued by Chrysler Corp forbidding that practice once they figured out just what was being done at the tracks...
