Hey there "a boner"... Cue Scott laughing....

All classes are racing all day. The classes are set at tech inspection and each class has a lane(s), the track then runs all lanes all day. Anyone and everyone can night race on Friday night, Saturday is for many of the different groups... Who won't be racing much, if at all, Friday night.

    Hope that helps.

Jeff's motor is sick though....I'm worried we're gonna wreck the night racing with an oil-down,or worse, wreck that car and/or hurt Jeff when he drives through the contents of his oil pan....Do I worry too much?

Once again,I just want to thank everybody who is involved with making this event The Greatest Vintage Drag Meet on the Planet!

I'm proud to be among the hundreds of racers and tens of thousands of fans attending this event, and I just can't thank the MDA,their families, track staff, and anybody else involved, enough.

I'm not sure if you guys realize the difference you make in so many lives.
The Meltdown really is THAT important to many of us.

Now that I got that off my chest,I need to get back out in the shop and complete my instrument of destruction.....Muahaha.....Muaaaahaahahaaa........Muaaaaaahahahahahaaaaaaaaa!!!!

Hey Jeff, our cars look pretty similar except for your paint, which is about a bazillion times nicer! Maybe we can carefully peel your purty paint off and drape it on the Child, you know...Hannibal Lecter style, and Scott wouldn't notice??? Only problem I can see is we might not have enough for Scott anymore either! Nice goin' Ric!

...oh and Jeff, on that paint thing...we might need to borrow your paint job for the match race against the "Orange Crate" too...that way Yesterday's Chili won't look so old and tired next to that gorgeous 55!

I was debating getting the 3.5" but with the x frame in the middle I didn't know if I had the room. It's painted and ready to go in.

Btw I am going to bring my slide hammer if anyone has to pull an axle shaft , they are more than welcome to borrow it. I will be parked over with the Nostalgia Gassers

We'll looks like the Skairlane is going to make its debut at this year's meltdown. It's been a long few weeks but it's starting to come together. Here is a sneak peak. See everyone thursday.

Is there any chance that Carly will be able to race against anyone? She is only allowed 1/8 mile cause she is only 15! We are getting SUPER excited about this weekend! Weather is looking very good for the weekend!

How about my son? He's 17. No clue if he's allowed to go a full pass or not. But I'd love to see her kick his ass. How fast are you guys?

I could bring a International end loader so as to get the Scout to roll through the traps. I mean that way everything would match.

Waiting at work for a coworker to get off at 2am to give me a ride to the airport, then wait at the airport for a couple of hours to hop on my 5:40 am flight to Charlotte to meet up with Ric. Was supposed to meet up with our Uncle Russ in Denver on a stop over, but a wild fire came within 1 mile of their house and he was evacuated and is still waiting to get word that he can get back in their house. Unfortunately, he isn't gonna be able to make the road trip with us from North Carolina, but if he can find a flight on Friday, he may fly in and drive to Byron Friday night, fingers crossed! Spending Wednesday night at Ric's and helping him finish up anything he hasn't had time to do, then we leave for Byron about 4am on Thursday morning. We're hoping to be driving into the track around 6-ish. Safe travels to everyone heading for the Meltdown from near and far!
