I like what you've done to the 48 Pontiac, The stance is much like what I'm doing .. Camero stub , 10 bolt rear, BBC witha B&M mini blower.. All Swap and trade stuf, No real $ in it to speak of.. I've got a visor off a 51 Chevy that looks good on it, but I keep getting distracted with the notion of chopping the top..

I've considered cutting the top as it joins the sides and dropping it and sliding it forward and doing the big fabbing in the trunk/rear fender area.. have you ever seen this done??.. I've not found any info on it, and am looking..

    Ever seen that appoach?

    Thanx

  6. Not a Hot Rod, not a Muscle Car, just a blast to own and drive and its's been more reliable than the cars I've owned that are newer than '89, plus my whole family fits in it.
(There is a hot rod in my future.)

My 3 1964 Pontiacs, barely old enough to be HAMB material. A Tempest coupe, a GTO hardtop and a Lemans ragtop.

My '64 is primarily stock at the moment, but plans are to use a little stock car tech on the chassis, a tube grille and other mild custom ideas and a big of Trip Car stuff....:) I'll also keep the 223 under the hood until I'm ready to build a Ford 300 six.

This is my '37 Chevy coach dirt track car. Plans for the moment are uncertain because of the car below.

Don't bitch about the OT body just yet..:) This Gremlin bodied '70s dirt modified was restored for display/parade duty and I bought it for a measly $800! This car reputedly ran on the Syracuse Mile track and has a ton of local history. The chassis is partially Scout with the remainder rectangular tubing. Powered by a decent 292 Chevy 6, it's 95% ready for the upcoming vintage race season. I've got an all aluminum Winters quickie ready to replace the Dana 60, with Wilwood disc brakes, double splined axle and all of that jazz. I'm planning to update the tube front axle with Wilwoods, etc and possibly do a quick rebuild of the mill. I've also got a Profile power steering box to replace the heavyassed Chrysler. Due to tight finances this winter and my desire to do this one up right, my '37 MAY be going up for sale. Or it may become my traditional type hot rod and I'll make her streetable..
