i'll be there for sure.

 

I will be at the PIR side, in the dragstrip area. I will have the Biscayne wagon, and a display of my paint work.

i got to the party late last year on sunday and made some wicked good deals as nobody wanted to pack that stuff home.

i will be there on friday this year though.

cutting out of work early and heading to either PIR or the Expo on Friday morning at 7AM. really hoping Friday won't be too packed. Not sure which one i should head to, and Friday is the only time i'll likely have to go...

if'n ya see a long bearded, balding dude toting a radio flyer and downing coffee like it's going out of style, looking for ratty A sheetmetal... that's me. wait, that could probably describe a good 500 people there.

now to find my HAMB t-shirt...

 

That describes about 5,000 guys there!!! We'll be set up in the old Expo bldg., in "Gasoline Alley". Selling some gas pumps, signs, etc. Stop & say "Hi', might be a cold beverage in it for ya.....................

Found some neat stuff still need 29 tudor 1/4 garnish moldings. gonna go to the expo in the a.m.

 

i have been going for 27 yrs...don't miss it , bring a big truck, rain gear and sunscreen..you never know at this one

 

Remember long time ago when the Portland Speedway opened the same weekend with a Fast Friday race? A guy could get the best of both events. Those years I camped in a travel trailer on Forse Ave. all weekend.

 

when i lived in so cal, went to Pomona nearly every time... this'll be my first year going to the portland swap. hope it in some way compares, though i could do without walking the literally 10 miles of isles at pomona.

also bringin' my 4 year old daughter, who's all into cars... should make it that much more fun. she went nuts when i asked her if she wanted to come.

here's to hoping for decent deals on some ratty A sheetmetal and a bunch of crap i don't need

 

Found a place to crash. Hoping to see a little Portland outside of the swap. Are there multi-day passes for the swap or just pay each day?

 

i'm getting antsy trying to figure out just what i want to look for....

...but i dont want to have to rummage through the trash to find it.

I will be there Tomorow, I am going to hit both of them with the wife... Hope she can keep up we went last year but one each day not both in one day. There is so much to see I should be dead tired for sure.

I am looking for 1939 Drivers side running board for 1.5 ton truck... none last year, hope to see one this year.

It is amazing what you can gt on Sunday, free admission on one of the shows and sometimes free cars or trucks... like mentioned before many people do not want to haul the stuff home.

I was there today for about 6 hours. found some great stuff and bought me some L78 wide whites from coker, the only ones they brought with 3" whites hehe.
SPIDER CAPS! $145 for a set. he even had 5 on 5!! they wont fit my '55 buick though. i think he was the lug nut king...but im not sure. expo hall. have fun!!

 

Ish from our club, The StickShifts is there. If you see him with an armload of cool parts trip him and take em! hahaha
