Wow John, beautiful job. I see you ended up using the stock door hinges. Any problems with them? I'm thinking about ordering them from the Filling Station for my Chevy. I finally found a windshield for it so I'm back to gathering the rest of the parts... Hopefully in a few years it will go from this to something like you have there...
I finished up the hood top for the Buick, no hood sides for this car, since I don't want to hide the nailhead. I used some straps and buckles from Ace hardware to hold it all in place. So far so good at hiway speeds. The picture was taken at a cemetary show, and since the radiator shell looks kinda like a tombstone, I thought I would show this picture. Sorry guys. I hadn't posted in awhile and didn't see the questions you asked. No I didn't use across over tube YET, meaning I still might this winter on some update projects. I do like the original hinges and I would recomend getting some for your roadster, just build some adjustments into them for adjusting the door gaps.
Very cool shot John! I got to check out this ride while on vacation out in Colorado last week. It looks even better going down the road
I just recieved news that my buick build is on a online magazine. Check it out if you got time. http://www.streetmusclemag.com/features/car-features/what-are-you-working-on-john-curtis-cool-1926-buick-roadster/
Congrats on a great article about your Buick. It was fun following you to the Sonic Cruise back in July and see how many looks it got going down the road. Next time I call "shotgun"! Tom
