Hey, now what about LeMans, with Steve McQueen? Alright, it's not hotrods - but he just went on a bender, got a ton of amazing cars, rented the track and filmed for months.

No real story, just lots of great footage of cars going really fast...

Watch and see how many times he passes himself going the other way in Vanishing Point. Also notice you keep seeing the same extra cars used over and over in the film.

    Are you out there Kowalski...

Yeah, I've got Grease in my collection too.

Wanna do Grease trivia? I can go as long as we did on American Graffiti.

I didn't see it mentioned here, but Return To Macon County is a pretty sweet movie. Some of the stuff is a little far fetched, but it's still fun to watch. The chase scene in Bullit is also pretty sweet.

when my daughter was a toddler

    and I was between jobs

I had a copy of Hot Rod To Hell,

    we watched that movie together

almost every morning for two months.

I may have warped her little mind.

Yep, I've got that one too. Funny but entertaining early Grand Prix racing scenes in the beginning. Hard to believe Ian Flemming went from James Bond to CCBB.

  11. You got any of the old
    Whacky Races cartoons?
Was that Paul Lynn's voice for the bad guy.
I remember one racer was a dragster.

All of these car movies and NO ONE mentions Roadhouse 66 or Badlands?

My brother wrote the script for RH 66 and I remember him calling and telling me about the movie. "I'll send you a copy. Keep your eye out for this one actor, he's going to be huge." It was Willam Dafoe. Pretty cool movie although I haven't seen it in over fifteen years. Do a search and you will most likely find a short review of it.

Badlands is pretty raw. Martin Sheen as a scumbag drifter that rolls in driving a chopped Merc. I won't give away anything else. It's much better to just watch it.

    Duel
Or Junkman, and the 1974 Gone in 60 Seconds rock (original original, with the original engine noises, and original Hoyt Axton music)
also, just available is Gone in 60 seconds 2 (the movie Haliki died in while filming) looks like it could have been good, but the annoying pre-programmed music gets old. on the same disc is Deadline AutoTheft. pretty much gone in 60 seconds with Hoyt Axton as the sherriff. gotta love any movie where the director actor star owned almost all of the cars in it

Way tooo many , but i gotta say Corvette summer, The whole started with the emblem, how many of us have started a project with nothing more than one lousy piece and a gleem in your eye? There was also a CHEESY movie called Moonshine Highway , eluding to the origins of moonshine runners and Nascar also. The Wraith with charlie sheen , gotta watch that just for clint howards hair, COBRA! who didnt cringe when they trashed that merc,
