I've always wanted something different in a jacket, so I had and image and an idea and passed it on to my sister. She does embroidery work on the side and this is the result. I think it's cool:
she might, it was a little tough to do this design as her machine had a hard time with the lines. so far is this is the most elaborate design she has done. thanks for the compliment.
that is a great idea, a couple of jobs would cover the cost of the correct sewing machine. a coat matching the pinstriping on your car would be a very nice item.
VERY COOL!!! Make sure your sister knows what a great job she did and please keep me in mind if she plans to do anymore of that kinda stuff. Dave
I think she may have just found a new source of side income if she wants. She could make some bitchin' club jackets.
Nice job! I bought my wife an Embroidery machine and know it will take more than a few jackets to pay for the machine. I spent enough money on hers to buy a rebuilt Flathead. So far she has only done one job for me! These things require real effort to make something nice, especially when it's "custom" just like cars.....
thanks guys. let me know what kind of work you want done, and i'll pass it along to her. i let her know i posted this so she's ready to go.
You should re-post this in the upcoming Friday Art Show thread. Yes, this really is art. Fine art I might add.
thanks appleseed. I sent her the link to this post and she's enjoying the comments. if some one has some work like this they want done, pm me with a jpg image and I'll send it to her.
I'm with you, Mark. I'd gladly throw down for some new monkey togs from this lady. Tug on Mr. Zenor's coat tails about it and let's get on it before she gets too busy. JLOUIE- Your sis has talent. Nice work. Tell her I said so. JOE
I think it's cool, too. I think it's extra cool that the two of you did it yourselves. And it's extra super cool that your sister seems like a good sport with a nice smile.
I personally dont see whats so OT about it? your sister made you a shit hot jacket, its striped and got your name on it. Its just as hotrod as anything else it all goes together.
My sister-in-law did a similar thing, made jackets for the whole family, with art work by youngrodder1929 (my nephew),honouring my dad. He's the first generation hot rodder in the family. You sure will wear that proudly, beautiful work!
A sweet jacket and very sweet seamstress - post this on the UK NSRA website and I think you will have a lot of UK Hotrodders wanting to make a trip Stateside!!!!!
She did a great job on the jacket, May have her do one for me. How about a couple of shots of your sister wearing the jacket with some heels!!! Thought you could keep your sister under wraps!! Keep posting her work, I sure she could prolly fund your ride with the kick backs from all the HAMB work she will be doing. Good luck and remember the "posts", if ya know what I mean.
