I know a few of you HAMBers have their kids involved in Junior Dragter racing. I would like to get my kids involved and have all the equipment required to build a chassis. Does anyone have a set of plans I could get to start building a car with my kids. Its more about building and campaigning a car them spending a boat load of money on a chassis/Body.
I would be interested in hearing from anyone doing this form of racing.

    Thanks,
    Ike

  2. We always talked that a Jr. FED would be way cooler. A pals daughter races and loves it.

i raced juniors for 7-8 years when i was a kid. had a lot of fun. kept it low budget and won a lot of races. If you cant find plans, got to the track, look at the cars, make drawings, take measurements. im sure there are plenty of parents out there willing to let you get measurements to get your kid into racing. get the JD rulebook to. it will help a lot with chassis specifics

My friend had a Blueprint for a FED Jr Dragster but IHRA would not give the OK.. to bad.
Good deal with the Kids. You will share a lot with them and they will learn a ton of life lessons..

Good Luck PM me on my Son if you can Thank you..

One word of advice if you dont mind. Spend the bucks on a Good Clutch. Even for a slow starter car and save all the grief that the Comet -340 - Salisbury's cause..
