My car makes the cut for this but is one year off for the Roundup. I got in there and thats all official with paperwork and everything!

    I don't think they're gonna flatten your tires for being a '65...

hey now...I'll have none of that.

Just show up already. No one's gonna bitch and moan because your's is a year off. If they do, tell 'em that Jai said so. Of course to which they'll reply "who the bloody hell is Jai?" But at least you'd have someone to blame.

Just bring your damned car, drink, and be merry. :D

  11. Took a lot of faith to schedule your event up against the NFL playoffs. Also took balls for someone to name a bar Lee Harvey's in Dallas.

Ya, I didn't get that either.

Perhaps it's a touchier subject outside of Dallas. Perhaps were just used to it here, and don't get all weird about it. LOL, it would be hard to be sensitive about it with all the tourists asking how to get to Dealy Plaza all the time. Not to mention the sixth floor museum. Hell, the Subs even have a song about it... "Lee Harvey..." (i love that song too).

I did think that the "X" that used to be on the street marking exactly where the car was when he was shot...... that was a tad macabre. And annoying when you're driving, and tourists are in the street trying to get their friggin picture taken.

It doesn't bother me, it just surprised me. I love irreverence.

I don't think that it has as much to do with people not likeing the Kennedys as much as it has to do with the whole "did he really do it" thing. Personally, I don't claim to know one way or the other. But alot of people around here see the whole thing in a different light. I guess it's the whole view from the backdoor vs through the fence sort of a thing.

don't get mad now.....but which one were you? And don't say the one driving the truck....that won't help me. There were always about 4 or 5 people standing around it at any given time... lol

yup, I was there until about 6:30ish. And then again until 8:30ish? hehe

I think you mistook salt for the other "white powder" when
making your last batch of cookies.

I was wearing the THEM jacket :D

I got bored and tired of watching weekend bikers drink
beer then get on their bikes to ride around. Plus me and
Thunderrocket came straight from the Outkast party near
Houston and the Commander was not cooperating
so the 7:00 trip back was not so much fun.

Ahh...the curse of the Outkast Christmas Party. Everytime I drive down there something goes wrong with my car. This year it was a couple of burnt plug wires and fouled plugs...last year was a dead starter and noisy (mysteriously really low on oil) transmission. Rob's car broke a brake line on the rearend on the way back too.

I don't think I'm going to drive a hot rod down there next year.

Wish I could have made the Sunday drive thing, but we got back kind of late.

Yesterday musta been a bad day for hot rods in TX. My slave cylinder took a dump.

Maybe it's cause I ordered the new "crash" shirt? :D

So did anybody have a camera with them a this deal?

Got BAD news today. apparently Steve Berg who was in charge of putting this whole ride together got ain a bada motorcycle accident last night. dont know what happend but do know that he is pretty messed up and in the hospital at PArkland ICU. He broke his pelvis, leg and collar bone. he was wearing a helmet so he will be ok eventually. in case you dont know him by name, steve is the bass player for 1100 Springs from dallas.
