O/T Curious what all you hambers do for work?

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by rustypipes, Sep 28, 2005.

  1. My day job is teaching race car and custom chassis fabrication. My second line is repairing and maintaining vintage race cars. I pay my own racing bill by building custom headers.

Was a mfgs rep for a mens shirt company, (15 years). Worked for a division of Hart, Schaffner and Marx. Owned my own clothing store, mens & womens. Ran cell phone stores. Retired from TSA. Finally found my calling, I trap moles and gophers for something to do. Makes my change for building another hot rod.

I is a engineer - worked in commercial construction for 25 years, then decided to change to mining and now also doin' some oil & gas work. Been in London, England the last year with work - missing my cars, but seein' the world some more.
Often think it's not really worth it, but the money and perks aren't too bad.

Field Engineer is my current title. I work on computers/printers/etc. at car dealerships. I have been working on or installing computers since I got out of high school in 1980, and I still don't like them.

I'm a professional underachiever. But in the meantime I am a Building and Grounds maintenance worker for the State of Illinois. If I move up the ladder much more I could end up in prison.

    I'm a fish biologist.
Ten years ago I spent my work day snorkeling and rafting.
Now I sit behind a computer all day and look at data.

Not all bad though. Sometimes I get out and find river treasure:
