  7. I joined the Army when I was 17. When I got out I went to work for the Air Force as a civilian. Retired a few years ago. And that is when I got my dream job - towel boy in a cat house. Kept the rooms supplied with clean linen and various sundries. Did such a good job they promoted me to quality control. I put my heart and soul into it but I just could not meet the production goals and they let me go. These days I am the gopher at a local hot rod shop.

I got too much in the pot right now!

In house Graphic Designer/Art director/photographer/production manager.

After work I teach intro to Computer Applications at the University of Missouri, KC. Mainly Illustrator and InDesign.

After job 2 I do freelance Graphic Design and custom Letterpress printing of Posters, wedding invites, b-cards, announcements and the like.

And inbetween everything I help my in-laws finish stuff in their house they are building like tiling floors, installing fixtures, drywall, painting, wiring phones and running cat 5 to every room of the house.

For fun I play with my kids and take them out for adventures.

I'm a small animal veterinarian-dogs,cats, pocket pets and some primates. We run a three doctor hospital with about 30 employees. These days it's as much about the "business" as the medicine.

    I build these things...

Full flight simulators. These two happen to be for the V-22 Osprey.

I spent 1.5 years working in the mechanical end, building cockpits and primarys, 4 years working on the motion and controls platforms along with the visual systems and doing installations world-wide (God bless the U.S.A.!) and am now running up on my second year of building the computer systems that run the whole mess.

Oh yeah, I'm also an underpaid, part-time Classifieds Editor on a little known message board.:D

Easy answer... computer geek, shop owner, and bar owner...

Long convaluted answer... I'm a systems administrator and IT manager for the Tobacco Genome Intitiative and Center for the Biology of Nematode Paraticism. I am responsible for the HPC (High Performance Computing) and all related equipment in the processing of data for the tobacco genome related to a grant from Phillip Morris. It's interesting in a hot rodding computers sort of way. I also take care of all the Network administration for our group....

I'm opening another bar in Raleigh, I closed the last one about 4 years ago... I can't stay away....

I have a shop but right now have put any customer work on hiatus until I can finish a few of my own projects. That's the nice thing about being the boss and having the shop outback of the house...
