    picked this up the other day...we think it was used to power a saw mill....

    I think that it is very cool. I bet that sucker is heavy. I had a 337 once and I think the motor alone weighed close to 800 lbs.

    yeah its over a 1000lbs....it was delivered to work on a rollback and it took 3 of us to push it off....i got it mlunted on casters now yo move it around....

    if anyone has and books or advertising for these let me know ill buy anything

    That is interesting. I once (about 10 yrs ago) bought a '29 Model A 2dr Sedan from a gentlemen who lived back in the woods of Northeast Minnesota. He had his own small sawmill powered by a mid 30's Buick straight 8. Wish I had taken a picture, as the set up was quite interesting. Sawmills were often powered by unique engines, and offer one more place to search for vintage motors.

    yeah i just thught it was cool because its all ford built....i need to get a 40 stake body to mount it on now:D

    Those engines were equipped in Muntz Jets for most of their production run...
    They were also used in Lincolns, trucks, buses, etc.
