Well I’m leaning strongly towards the Edmunds from Dennis at O’Brien Truckers.

The next decision is with the Edmunds logo or without.
    Choices :D

Those are the ones I suggested earlier on this thread
FYI, the mount on your carb would be on the lip with a very small set screw, not very secure. There’s accommodation for a threaded rod down the middle which secures it to my Rochesters.
I love your intake set up, is that Dickster’s work ?

Thanks, I decided on them because of the height and surface area will give a bigger flow advantage than I first thought.

The Stromberg carbs don’t have the center stud so whatever I use the base is always held with a set screw.

The 1-5 psi fuel pressure gauge is from Dicks but the rest of the work is all mine.

I had the carbs painted by Clive at Stromberg 97 when I ordered them.

I had the intake ceramic coated and then I bent up the lines from 5/16” ni cop.

Well you did a fantastic job, as is the rest of your build. Dick made mine cause I’m not as clever as you

So guys, what do you think? With logos on the top or not?

I like them both ways.
    Gotta choose :D

  6. With logo keeps it "old timy", which I like, without looks like any other modern mass produced piece.
The only conflicting point is the edelbrock name on the valve covers, anything else with the name cast into it ?

    Yes, my Edelbrock 573 intake.
I don’t think it would be a problem having the different names.

That choke cable bracket doesn’t fit between my carbs because of the close spacing of the 4 7/8” centers of the manifold.

It won’t fit behind the last carb either because it would curve back into the firewall and be way too far from the choke on the center carb.

I made my own polished stainless choke cable bracket straight out from the back of the rear carb.

Yeah, that's tight. I have 5 1/2" centers, so it works with my 94's - with room to spare. Great looking set up.

    Well that’s that. Decision made.
With my vote the with logo side won. :D
I called Dennis and got my order in.

Indeed, thanks for the help. My lack of understanding how much better airflow I’d get from the slightly larger diameter and the taller height got in the way to start with :D:D

Dennis also supplies a quality washable reusable filter too.

I’m going to be happy with them, more so than the rectangular ones.

  17. Twice the diameter = 3 times the volume.

I think they all look great. It comes down to a matter of personal preference. No right or wrong answer.

I would have gone no logo and then had a trophy shop engrave "Blue One, eh?" in them.

I was referring to the oil bypass filter unit to the top right of this pic and not the air cleaners.

These Minneapolis Moline U precleaner bonnets fit the filters that @Norris McCarty posted.

They'd normally be too big for tripower setups but would work really nice on duals. I trimmed a set for my Olds J2 tripower I'm building. The Olds manifold runs 6" carb spacing rather than the 5.5" like a SBC so they work with some modifications.

I'm running the same Austin Healey filters that he is. The bases I machined out of aluminum and then blasted to give the more of a sand cast look.

  25. So those filters are Austin Healey? Thanks for sharing that!
