Saw this on another forum and thought y'all would be able to make use of it... .. and let's not forget about the one behind the wheel....HA HA
Don't forget that 1.5 x bolt diameter is the hex size unless you have heavy hex nuts then it's 1.5 x diameter plus 1/8"
Battleground 1949? Wow, I know some folks were late getting to WWII but I never heard of any leaving late! LOL
No twin nuts either! I machined nuts and bolts for 30 years, but never anything like this. https://fastenerengineering.com/what-are-twin-nuts-and-how-do-they-function/
“Battleground”was a movie made in 1949. Brig. Gen. Anthony Mcauliffe made the actual reply on Dec. 22 1944. Unfortunately no cameras were there to record it. LOL
Yeah same chart i have here at work for hte nuts here.... came from Bolt Depot: https://www.boltdepot.com/fastener-information/Printable-Tools/Type-Chart.pdf
I swear some of those came from our quality control department. We started seeing some real odd s#/t when we started a night shift.
Not nuts…but I’m looking for hardened washers the same outside diameter as Allen bolts. Specifically 1/2” to use in countersunk holes on an aluminum cylinder head.
