It's obviously very commercial. Here's part of the text from the first page of their Web site. Quote: A new national association serving hot rod, custom car and specialty car owners with American powered vehicles through 1972. Over the past 20 years the hot rod and specialty car hobby has grown tremendously. "Rodders" are now seeking new alternatives with more options, new ideas, different locations, and MORE FUN! Having attended hundreds of events ourselves, we understand that without participants there is no event! We promise never to forget that fact and will continually strive to give you more each and every year. Our events, both indoor and outdoor, offer many activities for us Gear Heads as well as for those who may not share our love for all things automotive. Most of our events include a concert with top name entertainment, included with your entry fee. Some of our events are held at racetrack venues, which adds to the excitement and enjoyment of participants and spectators alike. We feel it is important to give something back to the communities we serve. That is why we established the High School Senior Scholarship Program and the High School Auto Shop Grant Program. We also know the importance of introducing young people to our hobby. Through these programs and others, which we are working hard to bring on line, we not only expose young people to hot rods and specialty cars, but encourage them to succeed, complete their education, and become productive citizens who will be responsible for the future of America. Through our publication, NRCA Nostalgia News, we will keep you informed of up coming events, new products, changes in the laws that may affect our hobby, and lots of other important information. As a Charter Member, you will automatically receive a copy as well as E-Mail up dates if you wish. They come across as street rodders who are trying to start another Goodguys, but without the nostalgia drag racing. Well, whaddya say, "Gear Heads"? Dave http://www.roadsters.com/
Are they "up and running" with a schedule of events of just wetting a line to see if anyone will bite? Frank
