Thanks for all of the compliments from everyone.

    Yes, it's a Lenco 5 speed.
I'm running a smallblock Chevy 383 with a Mooneyham 6-71 blower on alcohol, underdriven 7%. My goal is to run in the local B-gas class (8.60 index) for that I need to overdrive the blower, and change a couple of things in my setup.

  20. That thing hooks and goes . . . nicely done! With a little more boost and the right heads/cam/valvetrain (don't know what you have), you should be able to make it. How many pounds of boost are you running now?

    Thanks!
I don't have any problem getting the power out of the motor, it's hooking it up down the track that is the challenge right now.
I'm running right at 13-14# boost. It's putting out roughly 910 hp right now to run 8.80s.
I've tested at 1000+ hp (18-19# boost) , and it is a bit of a handful at that power level. I'm going to need to make some changes to the car to handle it.

Very cool, you drive it well. Good job and I look forward to the updates on your racing.

  23. Sounds like you have the HP you'll need -- always fun at your power levels to get the thing to hook and not get too squirrely at higher speeds. I bet that front end gets a bit "light" with all the air under it. What chassis/setup changes are you going to be doing? (I'm always learning . . . so pardon all the questions!).

Thanks, Jon. I hope the race went well last week. I also really enjoyed the video on the Great Lakes Gasser website, all of the cars are way entertaining, the way drag racing should be.

There's really no problem driving the car at the end of the track. It drives nice & straight. It just gets "interesting" trying to keep the car hooked up at the first half of the track with the boost cranked up.
I'm going to start with some wider tires, different transmission ratios, and some shock changes to start.
I hate to start messing with things when they are working, but it wouldn't be any fun to leave it alone, either lol.
