hey floyd ,I just finished 63 nova ss gasser. project me a little over 3 years .we did all the work in house and it turned out fantastic. I would be glad to help you with any questions you have. John
Thanks, 1968FED. I'm not set up to post pics, but my avatar might give you an idea of what my Chevy II looks like.
here's ours in the pits at the meltdown drags in byron, il last summer; there were alot of awesome chevy II gassers there...
cant wait till the meltdown ! the track, cars, & all the people there was great ! i just found a 62 nova in great condition i want to build & bring to the meltdowns with my 55 . the only thing is its a 4 door. what do you all think about building a 4 door ?
It could be real cool, set the motor back under the dash and get in the back seat to drive. I seen an austin at Byron that way once.
I wish i could make the meltdown drags but we have a race the week befor and after and its over a 8 hour drive. Heres some photos from the gasser reunion at beaver springs dragway.
Sold this car back in 1977 to a guy in laurel, MD. Was done locally in the early 70's with a straight axle. I had a 283 +0.060, M21 trans and 4.88 12-bolt. Never had the guts to take it to the track, but it was pretty lively. Would love to know if it is still around.
Threads like this just make me regret sellin my '66. And the raw material! Seriously, where do you guys find these little chevyIIs in such great shape?!
