funny Flop . I spend the day / night rebuilding a trans for the 66 and a carb for the 38 for the same reason . Mine has the kids :p
Maybe tonight I ll get the other trans out off the snow and clean / open it .
As long as I have beers , it will be ok .

    from Texas .

The guy who made the patch panels for Snyders DID get rich, very rich and sold the business (Howells Sheet Metal, Nederland Texas) to his nephew.
Then he moved to north central Arkansas and retired with a collection of Model Ts.
There are some angry threads about Howells on the HAMB. Search

Why would he want to put any extra effort into making good products that fit right when he so easily got rich with crappy work?

    30 is a A model unless I make a mistake ( 28 - 31 IIRC ) . On a post here , some one explain the A had differents providers , so panels quite never fit .

    heres todays work

when i made the patch panel there was no way i could use the sheetmetal break to get a clean edge because of the body line at the bottom so i had to cut the edge off and replace it with a piece i made on the break.

Good to see the nice work. For me it's very difficult to try to straighten the dings. I get the most out but have leave some to avoid stretch and hardening. I'm building now similar Model A coupe starting VERY rough wreck I bought from Dan's old cars, MN.
I have used some repair panels from Mike's A-Fordable in Georgia and some beads on those seem to be better than you got. Different suppliers maybe. Mike's offer both cheapo and better cowl repair panels. The more money you get very much better fitting and more correct countoured parts. Cheaper versions I wouldn't take for free.
I just ordered today the subframe in parts and large door skins from Mac's.
I'm holding my breath with the door skins.

just about finished up with the body today besides bending the edges over the subframe on the new patches.

the passenger quarter was the last piece.

really solid but the break where it wrapped under neath was gone

made a new piece for it

couldnt figure out how to make it in one long piece so 2 pieces it was

just about done except for the edge it still needs some more smoothing where it wraps into the wheel well

and we are just about done with the body!!
