[IMG] Don't know what this is, but I like it... Some sort of old fiberglass car like a Kellison.

[IMG] Ken Kull and Vincent Bayarinas towed up from PA. with their wicked blown gassers. If you enjoyed them as much as I did, let them know at the track that we would like to see them again. www.newenglanddragway.com

Actually a new "old drag car". That's exactly what I want people to think when they see it. Thank you :)

The Orange flathead dragster is NITRO powered four speed car, very fun to watch. The car is owned by the Spurr Bros., and driven by Tom Steed...Tom has been racing since the early sixties. Tom's early ride was a blown 33 Ford coupe BB/GS then a blown Anglia. Next he went to top fuel, in a series of Mr. Boston dragsters. Then went on to drive for Sy Sidebotham's in his restored King & Marshal AA/FD. A new Mr. Boston AA/FD was built this year, so Tom is doing double duty driving both cars.

  21. Tom also had a couple of earlier rides:a C/G 55 Chevy and a 265 powered 53 Studebaker both painted Daytona Blue(it's an old GM color that was popular on Corvettes in the early 60's).He was also the flag man at Sanford Maine when I first met him.A great guy with a wealth of knowledge about early drag racing in New England.
