Didnt get the whole thing, but I thought the trail and boats were cool;

 

Don't forget George Petty! His work was a little different from Vargas, less sultry, more girl-next-door type. His smiles are the best IMO! And Elvgren! Vargas, Elvgren, Petty, the pinup trinity. And for obscurity, Peter Driben, his bad girls were great!
If you need pinup reference, I've got stacks of them books! The only thing I like as much as cars are pretty gals

You guys should get my old posts I own 6 pieces of nose art painted by Freddy Hayner(Hayner the painter).Yea he was a car guy.Also notice lady luck is holding her wrench in her right in the old stuff.I love this stuff.Also have a Enola singed by Tibbets.

There are several books on Amazon.com , I got a good one at the sale table at barnes and noble too. Just look up "nose art"

That one is one of my favorites, Its got an indian chiefs face..
I tried to convince my friend to paint it on his ponitiac but
he ended up selling it.

 

Kermit Weeks B25 "Apache Princess". He's pretty anal on the restoration
end so its good to see him take the liberty of putting his wifes likeness
on the nose of the B25... Thats gotta get you some points.

There's a good book out titled "Talisman" which has ton's of nose art on Bombers,Fighters etc ,a good refference one!

My dad's favorite pilot.. James L. "Two Gun" Brown.. dad flew about 20 missions as his gunner..

 

His name was Tony "Starcer" and he wa with the 91st BG did alomost if not all thier B-17 nose art/jacket art , I think he did soem for other units when he had the time , a Very talented artist !
