O.K., old thread, but important subject! In no particular order: Wink's, on the east side of Salisbury, good 'Que, great red slaw. Old Lex #1, just off Old I-85 in Lexington. Great piedmont 'Que, ask your waitress if you can try a little "rough chopped". Allen & Son, on the west side of Durham. Just about perfect 'Que, and the hushpuppies are incredible; no need for dessert! Grady's, about 3/4 of a mile east of the railroad tracks in Dudley, between Goldsboro and Mt. Olive (where the pickles come from). Out in the sticks, but its worth going there. Dang! Now I've got to get back up to N.C! Hope all you guys are O.K. up there. Later, Kinky6
Fayetteville here. As far as barbecue the two best I know of are Parkers in Wilson and Wilbur's in Goldsboro.
Hadn't seen any Nash county members in here! Middlesex, NC is my stomping grounds. Which is 30 miles east of Raleigh. Next door to Zebulon
