Been lurking around here for awhile now, made a few nonsense posts and figured I should introduce myself.

I run VW parts / service shop, Vintage Warehouse, out of Santa Rosa, CA.
*Most* of my cars are VW's, I have always had a spot of old American stuff. Numerous Chevy's and Fords have gone through my garage, but none seemed to stick. Recently find myself wanting to build an early Chevy / GMC cab over car hauler. So I'm here more often now looking for ideas, info, and advice on that, as well as trying to stretch my mind out of the VW arena for awhile.

Not sure if it's appropraite, but here are some of my current cars.

I'm a big fan of Salesflap buses. I have these 3 right now.

1959 SO-1 "Westy Flap" Oldest one know to exist

1962 "Vendo" one of a kind

1965 "The Salesflap" One of a kind

Last two with the flaps up.

I also have this BIG project display bus...

and a few other projects I'm not ready to show just yet.

    Anyway, that's what I'm about.

Thanks for the introduction. Nice vans. Always had a soft spot for the VW trucks. My old boss used one as a work truck. Every couple of days we'd go to the car wash and open up both doors so we could hose out the inside. That was a great truck until he tried to tow a Dodge Coronet up a hill. That killed it.

I almost had a crew cab. Didn't have money at the time but had a remote controlled tank that the guy was interested in. I remember the deal breaker was that my tank didn't shoot. If it did I think we would have had a trade.

And yes, that display bus is a big project.

It's more of an "appointment only" place than a walk in deal.

Thanks for the kind words everyone.
