I always wonder but am to embarrassed to ask What do all the different AA/FX AND SS/S or others too stand for ? I always see them on cool rides but not sure what theys tand for .
Actually, AA/FX was double A Factory Experimental, and it didn't last long. Technically speaking, SS/S was Super Stock Standard, not stick. The new questions are Super Stock "A" Automatic, a class reserved for the kings of Super Stock the 1968 Mopar Hemi Barracuda's and Dart's, the fastest drag race vehicles to ever come from a Detroit manufacturer, still, to this day. B/G is simply "B" Gas. How a vehicle became a "B" Gas car is based upon the rule book at the time and the cars weight and displacement of the engine in cubic inches.
And, just remember that half of the people using them on their cars don't know what they mean either. I saw some pretty funny stuff on strictly street cars in the '80s...Z/Stock, anyone? I mean, now, really...
W/SA..... "W" is the highest I have seen. "Timothy Turtle" Pinto Wagon, National Record Holder, from the pacific north west. Craig
