so my buddy has a 49 chevy towed to my house before being shipped to his house. tow truck driver tells me its being delivered d.o.a. the car ran when he bought it. im thinking the tow company tried to jump it with 12 volts instead of 6. what should i check or replace? the car turns over fine, just no spark. its a 216 with stock wiring. thanks.

ahhh i jumped my 47 with 12 volts as long as you get it off before it starts you should be fine check for spark at the points im guessing that some how got screwed up in the deal.

12 volts? It may have fried the coil or the ballast resistor.
