Nothin' like the first drive! All those "what was that sound?" and "should it smell like that?" anxieties... good job man, enjoy!

  8. Josh, it's looking good. Glad you've got it running since you've had it up for sale so much. Hope you drive the piss out of it this summer!

Congratulations. I can still remember my first decent test drive in my 46 other than the drive way was a dirt eighth mile strip with my four year old boy and no windows, what a thrill.

Made a nerf bar/rear bumper outta 1/2 round bar....will eventually be chromed.

    Fuel cell mounted.....

Started running exhaust....just some cheap glass packs....once I finish it out the back or the side it will all get ceramic coated. Still plan to make some zoomie type/lakes headers....but for now it's better to work out the bugs being able to hear whats going on....haha...

I replaced front brake line and fixed a couple of leaks and took on another test drive....much better with the mufflers....:D Gonna add a leaf to rear spring and should be good to go once shocks are on. Car drives straight and is pretty smooth.....for a hotrod I guess...haha...
    It definitely hauls ass....

At first I was unsure about those taillights but the nerf bars makes it! I really like them now that the nerf bar is there to bring it all together..

So.. When will we see a burnout video? :)

I've been on the fence but its a show rod type car so you can get away with that stuff. With or without those tail lights I really dig the nerf bar!

there is a thread in here somewhere about making tail lights with castable plastic. Uses a home kit thing.

I have follow this thread a while and the car is a great inspiration to my coming build.
I also plan to build my pretty low and to use a top hood.
So when i looking after a radiator that may fit i found this to a Datsun Fairlady.
It is really small and hopefully it can keep my engine cool.

Headlights on the way and windshield is mounted.
Once the rain subsides I'll be able to drive it "legally"......haha
