Would like to trade for a nice '37-'41 Chevrolet, nice pre '63 "family car" or $28k. PM me with serious offers, trades or questions. Thanks. My '36 was bought new at Ed Maher Ford in Dallas, Texas in 1936. The dealer was located at Jefferson and Bishop in Oak Cliff. It was the only ford dealer in Dallas until 1939 when Horn-Williams Ford opened. The woman who bought it named it "Blue Echo" it is written on all the receipts I have for it. She lived in Irving until her passing in 2006. Her name was Inez Inglish "Sally" Evans. NICE 5 window coupe. GREAT running 350/350 combo. Tons of new parts. Original parts included: factory radio, gauges, steering wheel and horn rod. Original, unmolested body in GREAT shape as is the grille, perfect patina, '36 Centinial Texas plates, Super Bell 4" drop axle, 2" drop spring, split wishbone, '40 Ford style front brakes, ford 9" rear, parallel 4 link with coilovers, Edelbrock performer intake, edelbrock 500cfm carb, new valve seals, edelbrock covers, air cleaner, new distributor and coil, High amp powermaster alternator. Flow Kooler high flow water pump and thermostat, Classic Instruments nostalgia vt 3 gauge with clock, steel glovebox with dual USB ports, '47 lincoln steering wheel, Walker radiator, Spal 16" pusher, Painless wiring harness, proper relays(headlights, fuel pump, fan), electric fuel pump, JL audio Bluetooth system, pull start, dizzy switch, new tail lights, front blinkers, Ron Francis turn signal toggle switch, all new sender units, good firestone bias plys, new Speedway master cylinder. Runs and rides great, 70mph no problem. Ride quality is amazing! Entire underbelly and interior has been sprayed with lizard skin. Has Dynamat on firewall and front section of floorboards. Original wood bows all interior garnish moldings along with deluxe 5 window door trim(extra set of 3 window deluxe door trim for a custom touch I want to do), custom package tray. One Fender skirt needs some work and needs a new wiper switch and or motor. Just put on a new Borgeson Vega Steering box. Has a small spot of rust through where the rear bumper bolts through the body to frame and one small spot on bottom side of deck lid. Both easy, cheap fixes or leave it alone.
I've had some great offers, just not where I need it to be. Thanks for the offers. I am in no rush to sell or trade, I will continue working on it and driving it until that day comes. Steering box rebuild is next on the list. I'm not sure it has ever been rebuilt so it is time.
Open to trades. Try me, all I could say is no. I've had a few cool trade offers, nothing has hit me right yet.
I've had some cool trade offers, nothing has knocked my socks off yet. Thank you to those who have offered. TTT
Would like to trade for a nice '37 Chevrolet coupe or nice pre '63 "family car", something that has a back seat.
I'm currently redoing the steering. I have kept the factory column, because I want to retain the factory column lock. I am modifying the column an steering shaft to join to a Vega steering box.
New Vega steering box and steering linkage is complete. I am about to take it and get the new exhaust work done. Has to be reworked to go around the steering box.
I welded up the exhaust temporarily to make it to Pistons & Paint this weekend. It will be going to an exhaust shop soon to get the section I did, done properly. ( This is the section I had to do to go around the new Vega steering box.)
Just spent $1,000 on new 16” steel wheels, Firestone whitewalls and tubes. Wheels are being painted blue now. Once I get them back and tires mounted. I will be running my 16” Lyon caps.
