The many retired on here may scoff,
but the rest of us get the next four days off.
One day to be shared with loved ones dear,
the other three spent with tools, parts and beer.
Black Friday at the malls? Not my bailiwick,
"shop till you drop" means I'll wrench till I'm sick.
What I do over the weekend, the wife says is okay,
her only rule is - No HAMB on turkey day!
So in the interest of peace I'll begrudgingly obey,
and wish all of you now Happy Thanksgiving Day!

I'll probably hit up the junkyard. LKQ always has a sale during the holiday weekends.

I have got quite a list of projects growing out there. Looking forward to knocking a few items off the list.

Not good golfing weather! A bit on the cool side, mid 40's. I like the quote attributed to Bob Hope, "I like playing golf in the low 70'... any colder than that and I'll be in the clubhouse.

    Thank you sir!

I've been banned from the kitchen this year!! Last year I thought that I should use my Felit Minnion receipt on a 22 lb Prime-rib!! 5min on high a side on the outside grill then let it sit for 5 mins, comes out great with Filet Mignon cut 1.5 inch thick(rare). so I put the 22 lber on the grill and do 5 min a side then turn down the grill to 200 degrees and keep a eye on it, did not have a thermometer! The grill just would not calm down and I cooked the S$%t out of it. Ruin it(over cooked by a day). I'll stick to hot dogs(I like them burnt). Happy Thanksgiving to all!! Yea I cant cook!! Pete

Prime Rib is not Filet Mignon. Filet Mignon is a completely different cut of beef called the Tenderloin. Filet Mignon is boneless while Prime Rib has rib bones thats why they call it Prime Rib.

  20. I will eat too much, watch too much football, indulge in too many cocktails and spend the day with the people I love...which may include some of you pathetic, sorry ass losers on the hamb.:D
    happy thanksgiving.
the rest of the weekend will be a mix of wrenching in the barn and splitting /stacking fire wood.

    Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

I don't do the family thing so I will be in the shop all day tomorrow and don't have to be worried about being bugged because everyone else is doing the holiday thing.

My wife made our 24# turkey for us last week already. Yep, you read right, 24# turkey for just us 2. I have plenty of turkey bagged in the freezer to use for sandwiches.
