Hey everyone. I have a question about 50's cars and trucks. Has any body ever run them fenderless? or do they just look like ass. I got a chance to score a 50 chevy pick up cab real reasonable , was wondering how it would look as a fenderless hot rod. Thanks....Dave

Never run a 50's truck, etc with out fenders. You can find them pretty cheap, and even a dinged one looks better than none.

i ran into the same thing, ran into a cheap 50 chevy truck and wondered the same thing. so i went ahead chopped the top, scrap the front clip, shortened the bed down to 36'' slid the whole mess backa foot or so.I went ahead and used the original frame, hung a ford straight axle, suicide perch spring to the bones.Inthe rear used a trailing arm set up off a60's chevy truck, bags replaced the coil springs.tried to be different, been on the road all summer and having a blast.small pic on my avatar, also on a couple of threads, outkast show pics, mitchell black and whites, sorry havent figured out the pic post shit. later rob SOUTH OMAHA TURDS

    Chopper Goozgaz would be cool.

Maybe I can start the first HAMB franchise and license the Goozgaz name.

    1. resize them in ms paint, other software.
    2. host them on photobucket and when you create a post or reply, click the yellow mountain icon above. copy, paste the address (or url) and its done.

    sorry to get o/t

What the hell is with that gay air cleaner?

  12. And if you have fenders left over, you can build this.....

I just ate a leftover taco, so Haring-Gaz is probably not long off.

I won't fault anyone for having some fun with a lo-buck Mold Skew Rod, but I'd rather put the same time and energy into something classic.

the whole point of customizing a car is to make it look better.

  15. Could be cool if he lost the IFS, air cleaner(!), and cleaned things up a bit.

I've seen some of his other stuff before. He's a good kid and tries some different approaches to things. He makes do with what he has.

The only 50's truck that looks good without fenders is a Willys Jeep pickup. ;) :D

I don't know Tingler, Rob Lee's truck looks pretty tough and different. I wouldn't think that a 50's truck could work fenderless, but that pic is changing my mind. Maybe it's in the proportions with the shortened bed that makes it work so well to my eye. Hmmmm...

Hey I love anyone that goes the extra mile to make their car/truck stand out. But I must say that no fenders on trucks looks way too weird for me! Although that stude is pretty HOT! I'll keep my fenders on...

I tell Ya there are some great ideas on these. Rob lees looks good as well as the others. Dare to be different. If I can score the cab at the right price (free) this may come together.

    Howzabout a hybrid?

Tyler "gilty" drew this up a few months ago. I almost hacked up my '58 I was selling to do this. For some reason I love this concept drawing.
