Yeah, that thing is quite an attractive car. It turns out that it's also a sort of a coach-built custom. Sort of. In a European sort of way. I found this about it out on the web.

You can read more about it on the web page from which that came. Here is a link:

1952 Lancia 2000 B52 Aurelia news, pictures, and information

That web page also has a bunch of images of the actual car. It's amazing how accurately the 3D rending shown on the web site linked earlier in this thread captures the essence and lines of the car.

Also, check out the specs on the car. It's actually quite a small car weighing just over 2300 pounds and it has a 121 cubic inch V6 engine putting out about 65 BHP.

I could easily see some of the lines and details on this car being used on customs based on some of the early '50s American cars. That grill, for example, is killer, and the roof line is one that I expect would look good on a lot of cars. And both the bumpers and taillights are pretty cool looking too.

Oh, and check this out. There is one like it for sale in Virginia, I think!

Lancia B-52 Aurelia 1952 for sale by Smith Automotive Investments

    From that web page:

  11. Who could imagine an OHV aluminum V-6 in 1952?

  13. He´s really good at this! I´ve done plenty of 3d modelling and I know how hard it can be.

I enjoyed every page of that website, thanks for posting the link Ricardo.

Several of those customs are beautiful and innovative, and all of the renderings are first-rate.
