Put a new windsheild in my 38 IH pickup. I found a nos frame and glass at the swap meet at Louisville last week.
Helped my younger brother get mom's diesel pickup hooked to the tow bar so he could haul it over to his diesel mechanic to get it squared away. <input id="gwProxy" type="hidden"><!--Session data--><input onclick="jsCall();" id="jsProxy" type="hidden">

I just bought this damn '50 Chevy a week ago and have been driving it to work and what-not. Well, last night on my way home from work, I stopped to grab a six-pack and when I came out, my '50 wouldn't start. Didn't have tools or patience to deal with it in the parking lot last night so I towed it back to work. This morning I woke up and went down there to figure out what the problem was. After dicking around for a little while, I had a running car again. Turns out it was a bad condenser. Drove the car home and was able to fix the brake/taillights, the emergency brake and the squealing fan belt. (A couple of the things that have been bothering me)
Finished up on my SBC to BB Buick aluminum crank pulley adapter by degreeing in a few lines. A little paint in the lines and numbers, install today. Ran a few errands in the roadster. Been running really good with 4* more initial and 4* more all-in. Subjective, but it's enough of a change that the butt dyno see's it. Still need some Mallory red springs. A little writing....
Cal-trak style bars. Those are the chit bro. and around a long time before Cal-trak ever patented them. Looks good. I didn't get much done over the weekend. A real good friend came by the house and pin striped a clock for me on Sunday. If or when the weather lifts this morning I'm going out to work on my driver. Maaan I gotta get some wheels on the road.
Ah, the vicious cycle begins. Good traction begets broken parts Broken parts get stronger replacements. Then you need better traction. Slicks are the answer. Now we don't have enough power to launch the big sticky tires properly. Killer 454" Hemi is built. Now we need a better traction setup. Then bigger and stickier tires. Then we start breaking parts again. Ok, I'll stop now. If it wasn't fun, would we be doing it?
took the 51 chief body off the frame, pressure washed the frame, now its clean and level ready to cut.
Thursday night took off the worn out urethane motor mount bushings(metal to metal) on my 40 Merc. Also discovered the new clunking noise when I hit the brakes was a LOOSE caliper ! Spent all day Friday trying to find bushing. Guess I'll just have to wait. Really anxious to see she feels with the new bushings.
