I was pleased to see Charlie Overfelt from West "by God" Virginia is still running his blown flathead altered. Thats the old DJ's Louver Service flathead Fiat in the background, we ran that 014.JPG against Charlie back in the 80s at Englishtown. The Fiat is now owned by Doug Adams from MA. Charlie runs in the 10s with the altered.

Well the plan was good but the weather wasn't...traffic was light, slowest was on rt125..Figured I had gone too far north and turned around at some religious garage..Coming back down I spotted the Dragway sign as I was stopping for a light.. I asked a young lady who was turning left at the light and she took me took me there as it was on her way..Thanks young lady..Arrived about 8:20..Would have been nice if the guys parking the cars were paying a little more attention in stead of BS'ing..Nice show, lotta neat stuff, great to watch the cars run, even the wife was some what amused...Temp was cooler than I had clothes for but we managed until it started to rain and didn't stop so everything got canceled till Sunday, bummer..Left at 5pm with the rain pretty hard all the way to the CT line, that was about the most tiring drive I have ever done...Car is about the dirtest its ever been but all the bug splats in side the glass nose are gone............

I had a good time yesterday, well I tried to.The race cars and the hotrods and customs were perfect,my own car did not fair to well as my carburetor was acting up on the ride home. This is an event I will keep coming back to for sure.
