I think over the years there were TWO one a funny car or early A/FX/awb and one a stocker. It was a dealership in CT if I remember right. If you have hours to look I'm pretty sure there are a couple shots in the drag cars in motion thread but it will be a long task to find them.

You know I forgot all about Bill Flynn car when I posted that comment.
There was another car also called the "Yankee Peddler" that was owned by a speed merchant back in the 60's that I was thinking of.
    Thanks for posting that Jimbo

Let's not let this NHRA Junior Stock thread get off topic, especially with altered wheelbase FX cars.

Check out the size and placement of those tow bar tabs. I wonder if they were also used to "trip" the E.T. Stop Timing Lights? There was a lot of creative "cheating" going on with those cars. I am Butch/56sedandelivery.

To quote Smokey Yunick. " I didn't cheat, I had a superior reading of the rules "

Seems like a re-post. I went back a ways and didn't see it so..... 11181742_568826893285317_5709243233951140377_n.jpg

I really REALLY love this thread, these are the cars that made drag racing. I love all kinds of drag racing but this was grass roots racing. Thanks all who contribute to this thread. Lippy

This is a Canadian made 150 4 door sedan. Our version in the states had no side trim, in Canada they had side trim similar to station wagons; pretty good look I personally think. The 2 door sedans look even better! And, I'm with Lippy 100%. I am Butch/56sedandelivery.

Libby I agree with you these guys put drag racing on the map along with the Modified Production guys and for the life of me I could never understand why the N.H.R.A. changed the rules and got rid of them.

To me it was the start of a series of very stupid moves by the N.H.R.A.

    Just my opinion. Jimbo

I believe the Crispy Critter was owned and driven by Wayne Dokken back in the late 60's and early 70's
Where did you find that photo if you don't mind me asking?
He has been trying for years to find his old photo's and it appears to be the car.
On the drivers door just below the window the second part of the name looks to be Dokken to me.

I can't wait to contact Wayne and tell him this just might be the car after all these years.
    Thanks Jimbo

It was a random facebook post. I remember this car and was excited to see a photo myself. I'll go back and see if I can find out anything.
